What you’ll do
As a Registered Nurse at TDHS, you’ll provide hands-on nursing care that reflects each patient’s needs, preferences and circumstances. Working closely with patients, their families and the wider healthcare team, you’ll assess care needs, plan and deliver care, and review how patients are progressing. You’ll use your clinical judgement to prioritise care, recognise changes in a patient’s condition and respond promptly, seeking support when needed.
Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you’ll help patients and their families understand and feel involved in their care, maintain accurate records and provide clear handovers to colleagues. You’ll also support new staff and students as they build their skills, confidence and contribute to practical improvements that make care safer and better for our community.

About You
You’ll be a Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), bringing clinical skills and experience relevant to the role. You’ll be organised and able to prioritise your workload, while adapting to changing patient needs. You’ll communicate clearly with patients, families and colleagues, work well within a team and show leadership in your everyday practice. Confidence using computer systems to maintain accurate records and support patient care is also important.
You’ll bring a caring, respectful approach and a commitment to continuing your professional development. Completion of a recognised graduate program, postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical area or a willingness to work towards them, and current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification are desirable.
