What you’ll do
Reporting to the Community Nurse Unit Manager, the Practice Nurse is an important part of the Timboon Clinic team, providing high quality, patient centred care to people across our local community. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work closely with GPs, colleagues and patients to support positive health outcomes and ensure patients feel well cared for throughout their experience with the clinic. You will provide a broad range of nursing services, assess and prioritise patient needs and contribute to the smooth day to day delivery of clinical services. The role also offers the opportunity to use your skills and experience across a range of areas within your scope of practice, while being part of a supportive and collaborative primary healthcare team.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration. You will bring strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage a varied caseload in a busy primary healthcare environment. You will be confident providing clinical care across a broad range of areas, including phlebotomy, wound management and infection control, and have experience developing and managing patient care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining contemporary nursing practice. You will also be comfortable using clinical and administrative systems, have sound analytical skills and be able to apply current research and evidence to support quality healthcare delivery and community health initiatives. Endorsement as a Nurse Immuniser and an understanding of accreditation requirements within General Practice will be an advantage.
