Make a Difference Across an Entire Health Network

This is more than just a role—it’s an opportunity to shape the future of gender equality and inclusion across eight health services in the South West Local Health Service Network (SW LHSN). As the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator, you’ll lead the implementation of the Gender Equality Act 2020 across the SW LHSN, embedding inclusive practices into organisational culture and everyday operations. You’ll develop practical frameworks, resources, and training programs that help health services translate gender equality goals into action.

Working closely with HR teams and health service leaders, you’ll guide the rollout of Gender Equality Action Plans, support Gender Impact Assessments, and monitor progress to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Through collaboration, communication, and expertise, you’ll play a key role in building a more inclusive and equitable regional health system.

This is a government funded position for a fixed term for 3 years.

About You

You’re a collaborative, forward-thinking professional who’s passionate about advancing gender equality and inclusion. You bring expertise in applying gender equality principles—ideally within the framework of the Gender Equality Act 2020—and have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You’re organised, proactive, and adept at turning policy into meaningful outcomes.  What sets you apart is your commitment to making equality real and accessible—especially in rural and regional communities that are often overlooked in cultural and legislative change. You’re motivated by the opportunity to create lasting impact across multiple health services and to help ensure every community, no matter how small or remote, benefits from inclusive practices.

What we offer

  • Fixed Term Full Time position until December 2028.
  • A competitive salary of $110,479.20 per annum, plus superannuation, a fleet car, mobile phone, and additional benefits to support your role.
  • Access to accommodation support or arrangements, to be negotiated based on individual circumstances.
  • A values-driven, supportive workplace culture
  • Complimentary access to our fully equipped onsite TDHS gym to support your wellbeing
  • Generous salary packaging benefits - Up to $9,010 p.a. plus an additional $2,650 p.a. for meals and entertainment
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program, offering emotional support for you and your family
