What you’ll do
As Director of Community Health, you will provide timely, expert advice to the Executive team on matters relating to community and allied health, supporting strategic decision-making and service development. You will lead and manage human, physical, and financial resources to ensure efficient, sustainable operations while driving high-quality outcomes.
You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams across planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, fostering a collaborative culture that supports integrated service delivery. You will maintain strong relationships with the Department of Health and represent TDHS at key external forums, advocating for organisational priorities and community needs.
Central to the role is a commitment to person-centred care. You will support employees to work in partnership with consumers, families, and carers by ensuring timely information sharing and active involvement in care planning and treatment decisions, embedding patient-centred principles in all aspects of service delivery and evaluation.

About You
You are an experienced health leader with a proven track record in senior management, capable of driving high-performance teams and delivering results across complex healthcare environments. You possess excellent communication, decision-making, advocacy, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both within the organisation and with external stakeholders.
You are highly organised with strong time management and written skills, and you bring a flexible, solutions-focused approach to challenges. You have a broad understanding of the current health system and its complexities, and you demonstrate the ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources effectively and efficiently, consistently meeting budget and performance targets while supporting organisational priorities.
