About the role
We’re looking for a Ward Clerk to play a pivotal role as the first point of contact within our Acute and Residential Aged Care program areas.
Please note this is a full time position but job share options will be considered for the right applicants.
As a Ward Clerk, you will ensure smooth operations and outstanding service in a dynamic healthcare environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional service: Responding to enquiries and directing callers to the appropriate internal teams.
- Roster management: Coordinating and managing shift changes, including accurate data entry into the Kronos system.
- Administrative support: Ensuring patient and client records are complete, including admission and discharge paperwork, to facilitate medical coding.
- Additional duties: Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.

- An appropriate level of written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service focus
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Prioritise time management and display an organised approach to work practices.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- A satisfactory level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs, including Excel
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
