About the Role
The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the overall coordination of acute, urgent and residential care needs across Hesse Rural Health. The role oversees the planning, implementation and monitoring of the clinical care and provides leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high quality services. A key element of this role is to ensure a clinical focus on residents and patients when coordinating comprehensive care planning to maximise quality outcomes for patient, residents and outpatients. The position is based at the Winchelsea campus of Hesse Rural Health and is responsible to the Director of Clinical Services.
Key Selection Criteria
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- High level of clinical nursing abilities in a range of settings and dedicated experience in providing residential aged care and services
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Aged Care Act 1997, the aged care quality standards and quality indicators.
- Understanding of National Quality and Safety Health Service Standards
- Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication and effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively with others and provide leadership within a team environment
- Computer literacy including: the use of the Microsoft Office / M365; Microsoft Outlook and effective use of electronic databases.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
