Dietitian
- Are you a passionate Dietitian looking to make a real impact? We're seeking a Grade 2 Dietitian to join our team on a part-time, ongoing basis 2 days per week

- You'll provide care to adult inpatients and outpatients across community, acute and Residential Aged Care. The role also includes individual consultations, group facilitation, and involvement in health promotion and quality activities.

About the Role
As a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, this role provides a quality and responsive dietetic service to all program areas of Hesse Rural Health, including the residential aged care facility and acute hospital as well as to the local community. The role requires a combination of individual, group, health promotion and community development approaches. The position also supports workforce health and wellness health through the provision of nutritional advice. The position is accountable to the Team Leader Allied Health and is based at the Winchelsea Community Health Centre and Bannockburn Cultural Centre.
Skills and Experience
To thrive in this role, you will bring the following:
- Experience in chronic disease management
- Demonstrated skills in individual nutrition counselling, motivational interviewing and outpatient clinic management
- Excellent facilitation skills for engaging delivery of group education
- Confident communication that enhances multidisciplinary teamwork
- Demonstrated clinical reasoning and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrated accountability whilst working autonomously
- Minimum 2 years experience preferred
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- Hold a Dietitians Australia (DA) accredited dietetics degree, or hold a DA mutually recognised dietetics degree from New Zealand, or have passed the Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) process
- Eligible for DA membership and Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status
- Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice
