About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with high level people management, leadership and advanced communication skills to join our team as the Acting Director of Clinical Services (DClinS). The position is available from December 2025 through until October 2026.

The DClinS is accountable for the effective leadership and management of clinical services across the main Winchelsea campus which incorporates: Acute Hospital Service – 3 beds, an Urgent Care Centre and Residential Aged Care - 56 beds.

This position is an active member of the Executive team and shares in the responsibility for providing leadership across the organisation. The role works closely with all other members of the Executive to build clear strategic directions and achieve overall efficient and effective integrated service delivery.

The DClinS must have a background of clinical expertise, act as a mentor and role model and facilitate development of clinical and administrative skills in all staff placed under their responsibility.  The role has a focus on quality systems-based management and person-centred care, ensuring continual quality improvement to maximise consumer satisfaction and ensure best practice and optimisation of clinical outcomes.

Interested applicants must demonstrate that they can meet the following key selection criteria from the Position Description:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Nursing Registration with APHRA.
  • Post graduate qualifications in management or advanced clinical practice.
  • Nursing management experience at Director, Executive or similar in the provision of acute, aged residential or within other relevant clinical settings.
  • Commitment to consumer centred models of practice.
  • Advanced management and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of rural health service provision.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
