Great Ocean Road Health serves the communities of Lorne, Apollo Bay, and the Surf Coast, providing high-quality, accessible healthcare close to home. Formed in 2019 through the integration of Lorne Community Hospital and Otway Health, we offer a range of services across our Lorne and Apollo Bay campuses. Our goal is to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community, ensuring sustainable, robust care for the future while maintaining local services and staff levels.​

 

About the Role

Great Ocean Road Health is seeking an experienced and engaging Youth Worker to continue the Youth Group Program in Apollo Bay in 2025. The Youth Worker will work alongside the Lead Youth Worker to design and deliver an engaging program of weekly activities for program participants. The Youth Worker will also assist to provide a healthy meal each session, oversee the program volunteers, maintain financial records in line with funding requirements, and undertake administrative tasks to ensure that the program is well-run and aligns with GORH’s requirements.

The Youth Worker will demonstrate positive role modelling to create a safe and respectful environment within the Youth Group, which will be attended by secondary school-aged students, and conducted on a weekly basis during school terms, on Friday evenings. The positions are fixed term commencing 27th June until September and during school terms in 2025 for 5 hours per week on a Friday from 2.15-7.15pm.

This is an exciting opportunity to facilitate a new youth program in Apollo Bay, and to use your skills and experience to create an engaging and supportive environment that brings young people together.
