Formed in 2019 through the integration of Lorne Community Hospital and Otway Health, we offer a range of services across our Lorne and Apollo Bay campuses. About the Role

The Cook / Chef position assists in the health & wellbeing of patients/residents/staff/volunteers/visitors by providing meals that are nutritionally balanced and prepared in accordance with GORH's Food Safety Program. The aim is to provide a Montessori model of care with food distribution that improves client satisfaction, promotes client recovery and reduces waste.

 

The Cook / Chef is responsible for preparing, presenting, and coordinating the service of meals for patients, residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Under the direction of the Support Services Manager, the Cook/Chef will oversee daily operations, manage their own workload as well as that of other staff, and consistently foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.
