Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

 

The role is a “hands on” position which involves developing, coordinating and delivering education programs to ensure that Colac Area Health (CAH) has appropriate, professional education across the organisation.  The Workforce Training and Development Educator is responsible for working with the Workforce Training and Development team to meet its strategic goals.

 

What’s required? 

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • Post graduate qualifications in relevant speciality field is required (e.g. Acute Nursing, Perioperative or Surgical) and experience in a specialised field.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment or working towards is essential.
  • Proven ability to supervise, teach and evaluate students on placement and program placements.
  • Professional, friendly and a team player disposition who is capable of representing the department effectively.
  • Ability to organise work in a systematic, accurate and timely manner, as well as the ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • High level interpersonal, computer and written communication skills.
  • Analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.
  • Ability to build relationships with all levels of the organisation.
  • An ability to contribute to the development of courses and actively contribute to further development of our online learning management system.
