An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to lead our busy Workforce Training & Development team at Colac Area Health.
The Workforce Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for leading Workforce Training & Development and ensuring the team meets its strategic goals.
The role is a “hands on” position which involves developing, coordinating and delivering education programs, and also includes coordinating the staff to ensure that Colac Area Health (CAH) has appropriate programs in place for continuing professional education across the organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for educating who enjoys leading a busy team.
You will also bring:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to successfully lead and manage staff
- Registration with current AHPRA registration
- Post Graduate qualifications in Education desirable
- Post Graduate qualifications or experience in a specialised field, for example Midwifery and or Critical Care
- Relevant education related to clinical supervision and teaching, including a current Cert IV in training and Assessment.
- Experience in supervision, teaching and evaluating students on placement and program placements
- Professional, friendly and a team player disposition who is capable of building relationships across the organisation.
- Ability to organise work in a systematic, accurate and timely manner, as well as the ability to adapt in a changing environment
- High level interpersonal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to Analyse and problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands
Desirable:
- Post Graduate qualifications in Education
- 3 years experience in Workforce Training and Development
