About the role

 

Workplace Trainer/ Careers Officer

Permanent Part Time - 20 hours per week

 

Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care,

Community and Allied Health Services.

 

The Workplace Trainer/Careers Officer will be responsible for providing essential training and assessment activities for staff covered by the Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Manager and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Agreement 2021– 2025. It will also provide guidance to employees to support them in progressing through opportunities in line with their chosen career path, and areas of potential future training and development.

 

This role will also cover and include travel to other Health Services in the region.

 

What’s required? 

Essential:

    • The successful applicant will have a TAE40110: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent or the ability to acquire such within the role.
    • High level skill and experience in the use of online training portals including inputting accurate data, reporting and analysis.
    • Experience with supervision, teaching and evaluating staff training.
    • Professional, friendly and a team player who is capable of building relationships across the organisation.
    • Ability to organise work in a systematic, accurate and timely manner, as well as the ability to adapt in a changing environment.
    • High level interpersonal and commination skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyse and problem solve
    • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.
    • Ability to have flexible working arrangements, including flexible rostered days on.
    • Current driving license

Desirable:

    • Previous experience working in the health industry in a similar role is preferred but not essential
