About the role

 

THEATRE TECHNICIAN

Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

 

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Theatre Technician to join our busy Perioperative Services team at Colac Area Health.

 

Within this position you will work as a member of the Perioperative Services team by supporting theatre personnel to prepare the operating theatre environment for procedures, maintenance of supplies and equipment and perform any reasonable task as directed by your manager.

 

To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service who enjoys being part of a busy team.

 

 

What’s required? 

 

  • 2 years minimum Theatre Technician experience within an operating theatre essential.
  • Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Practice/Health Services Assistant or equivalent will also be essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a diverse team
  • The flexibility to work a rotating roster will be key to this role.
