Part time - 16 hours per week

 

Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

The Registered Midwife at Colac Area Health is responsible for the delivery of a high standard of midwifery care and works within a strong supported team environment.  We are currently seeking a dual registered midwife to work across midwifery.  The role will work predominantly across birth suite, post-natal and includes midwifery day presentations, in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

 

What’s required?

 

Essential

 

  • Dual Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated capacity to work across the full role and scope of practice of a midwife
  • Ability to demonstrate recent, contemporary and evidenced based midwifery practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage maternity emergencies
  • Ability to work across a rotating roster with varying demands and responsibilities
  • ability to participate in the oncall roster
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team in a challenging but rewarding environment
  • Ability to organise work in a systematic, accurate and timely manner and be flexible in a changing and dynamic environment
  • Computer literacy particularly in Microsoft Office Software
  • The ideal candidate will have a professional and friendly team player disposition who is confident and capable of representing the department and organisation to a high standard
