About the role
Quality and Safety Clinical Coordinator
Part Time - 24 hours per week
Fixed Term - 6 months from Commencement
Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
The Quality and Safety Clinical Coordinator will organise and coordinate patient safety, quality and continuous improvement activities across Colac Area Health.
The Quality and Safety unit has responsibility for managing processes that support organisation wide accreditation processes, strategic and operational risk management, document control and consumer feedback.
Key areas of responsibility for this role include the review of Clinical Incidents, Clinical Audits and Quality Improvement Activities.
What’s required?
- Proven ability to work effectively and manage change as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent IT and database management skills
- Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation and planning of quality, safety and risk management systems
- Ability to collect, analyse and present data related to quality and safety in healthcare and facilitate actions to address identified issues
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management principles and experience in managing systems and processes to mitigate, reduce and monitor risks
- Experience in coordinating and facilitating Incident Reviews and Root Cause Analysis
- Strong Clinical Auditing skills with ability to identify actions to improve compliance.
- A collaborative approach to achieving outcomes
- Effective Consumer and Stakeholder Engagement skills
