Planned Surgery Clinical Liaison Nurse

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated experienced registered Nurse to join our Planned Surgery team as a Clinical Liaison Nurse. The role is responsible for coordinating and managing the transition of care of planned surgery patients throughout their continuum.
About You
You will bring:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency
- Recent acute surgical experience > 4 years post graduate experience in acute hospital setting
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet skills to enable quality communication
- Demonstrated well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to take a leadership role in strategic and daily issues with well-developed problem solving abilities
- Proven ability to support change
- Demonstrated sound level of nursing skills and is easily identified as a role model of clinical competence
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of team function and ability to work and support a cohesive team
- Demonstrated commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice including an evidence-based approach to care
- Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
Desirable:
- Membership of an appropriate professional association
- Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care, Emergency or Perioperative Nursing
- Understanding of the Department of Health Planned Surgery Access Policy 2024
- Understanding of Planned Surgery Preparation List management
- Understanding of and commitment to Health Service Key Performance Indicators
- Experience with Colac Area Health applications specifically Trak care, BOSS Net & HEART reporting
