About the role
Payroll Manager
Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight
2 year contract
Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
As a part of the broader HR team, Payroll supports all aspects of payroll, ensuring accurate and timely fortnightly pay and making sure the correct policies, procedures and systems are in place. Payroll assists with Kronos time and attendance management, helping to ensure that rosters and leave details flow smoothly into payroll each week. Payroll process wages, superannuation, tax, allowances and salary packaging ensuring compliance with relevant Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs). Payroll’s goal is to provide reliable, efficient support.
The Payroll Manager is required to supervise and provide support and guidance to the Payroll team ensuring the processing of a correct and accurate pay
What’s required?
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in managing the provision of payroll services in an active industrial environment
- Proven ability to interpret and understand complex industrial agreements
- Previous experience supervising staff
- Knowledge of Chris21 payroll system and Kronos Rostering Time and Attendance System
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook and Word
- Demonstrated high level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong customer service ethic and ability to tactfully deal with employee complaints
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with periodic demands.
Desirable:
- Prior experience in Health
- Tertiary qualification in Business, HR, Finance or related study
- Knowledge of SAP Success Factors and Optima rostering system
