We are seeking an experienced, passionate nurse leader to join our team.  Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing (EDON) this role will lead and manage our Public Sector Aged Care 69 bed unit – Corangamarah which was recently accredited under the Aged Care Standards. 

This role is supported by an established nursing team which has created a positive and supportive environment.

You will be responsible for the day to day operations of Corangamarah ensuring high quality services are provided to the residents and their families within applicable financial frameworks, budgetary constraints, quality standards and legislative requirements.

 

As our ideal candidate you: 

  • Have current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse
  • Have undertaken Post graduate studies in management or happy to undertake.
  • Have recent management experience, with proven competency in operational planning, strategic and innovative thinking, and resource and budget management.
  • Have Knowledge of the quality standards and guidelines for residential aged care, funding instruments and framework
  • Possess leadership skills, including evidence of leading and motivating staff to be the best they can be within a patient-centred and team environment.
  • Have a strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and problem solving skills.
  • Have an ability to actively lead and contribute to continuous quality improvement activities.
