About the role
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
Permanent Part Time - Up to 64 hours per fortnight
Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
This is a great opportunity for skilled and motivated Sterilising Technicians (CSSD) to join the team at Colac Area Health. In this role, you will play a vital part in infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care by ensuring reusable medical devices and equipment are processed to the highest standards through effective sterilisation and disinfection practices.
What’s required?
Essential:
- Must have a keen interest in working in Sterilisation, Management of Sterile supplies and Infection control.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with people from a variety of ages, cultures and backgrounds.
- Have well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Must hold a Certificate III in Health – Sterilising practise for Technicians or equivalent or working towards.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a hospital
