About the role

 

Health Service Electronic Medical Record Implementation Lead

Fixed Term - (ASAP to 19.11.2026)

Up to Full time 
 

Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

 

The Health Service Implementation Lead will work together with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams to ensure the Health Service is ready for the implementation of Trak-edition.

 

 

What’s required? 

 

Essential:

  • Tertiary degree in an information systems related discipline or equivalent information technology experience
  • Management or Project Management qualifications (e.g. PMP, Prince2, Agile / Scrum certificates)
  • Clinical experience with high level knowledge of clinical systems/electronic medical records
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems proactively identifying improvement opportunities to add value to business operations.
  • Project Management experience particularly implementing ICT network infrastructure from design to handover
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a role which interacts with all levels of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to write business cases, gather requirements and document processes.
  • Proven ability to influence key stakeholders and team members to design and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Knowledge or experience in structured project management methodologies
    (eg. PRINCE2, PMBOK, AGILE, LEAN, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise effectively.
  • Understanding of the sensitivity and confidential nature of health information.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.


Desirable:

  • Experience working with clinical staff in a healthcare facility.
  • Experience working on Capital infrastructure programs and ICT building fit outs
  • Experience using clinical and administrative information systems.
