Finance Officer - Finance & Corporate Services

The Finance & Corporate Services team deliver a customer focussed finance service that provides support, guidance and advice to all levels of the organisation. Colac Area Health currently has an exciting opportunity for casual Finance Officers to support our busy Finance & Corporate Services team.
We’re seeking detail-oriented and adaptable individuals to join our dynamic finance team in a casual capacity. In this role, you’ll provide accurate, effective, and timely financial support across a range of functions in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, and general finance administration. You’ll be delivering high-level support that contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of the finance team.
To be successful, you’ll bring strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence and accuracy.

What’s required?
Essential:

Demonstrated high level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail

Demonstrated capacity to take direction and learn from opportunities and team members

Clear verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with an ability to be flexible and agile when needed

Possess strong professional ethics, including the ability to exercise sound judgement and confidentiality in relation to sensitive matters

Proven ability to review processes and systems and identify efficiency opportunities

Understanding of accounting and credit control principles.

Well-developed computer skills and literacy, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel.
Desirable:

Finance qualification or demonstrated progress towards a finance related qualification

Knowledge & Experience in Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) e.g. Oracle
-
Previous Experience working in an accounts payable, accounts receivable or finance officer role
-
Knowledge & Experience in Healthcare (highly regarded)
