About the role
CLINICAL INTAKE – ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Permanent Part Time Position - up to 22.8 hours per week
Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
Our Clinical Intake Team provide valued support in linking our community to services across the Community Health Division. Our team aims to ensure that referrals are managed, directed quickly, and to the most appropriate service to support consumer needs. As the Administrative Officer within the Clinical Intake team a key focus is on understanding our services, administrative processes, and supporting improvement activities.
Intake is a single point of entry for numerous Colac Area Health programs including Allied Health, Community Nursing and Family, Community Programs and Specialist Clinics.
What’s required?
Essential:
- Qualification in Health, Administrative, IT, Data Management or other relevant qualification or experience.
- Provide appropriate level of customer service, demonstrating a friendly and supportive approach to our consumers and staff
- High level of computer literacy and demonstrated competence with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective communication across all levels of the organisation and with members of the community.
- Ability to effectively plan, organise and manage own time to achieve targets/deadlines within a set timeframe.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable:
- Understanding of administrative intake processes.
- Experience and knowledge of TRAK in processing referrals.
- Understanding of eligibility identification for accessing CAH community services.
- Understanding of My Aged Care and Support at Home Program.
