About the role
Casual Human Resources / Payroll Officer
Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
The People and Culture Team deliver a customer focussed service that provides support, guidance and advice to all levels of the organisation in managing their human resource, payroll and salary packaging needs.
The Human Resource/Payroll Officer provides administrative support to the functions of the HR/Payroll teams, which will enable the strategic priorities of the organisation to be met.
What’s required?
Essential:
- Demonstrated high level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated capacity to take direction and learn from opportunities and team members
- Clear verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with an ability to be flexible and agile when needed
- Possess strong professional ethics, including the ability to exercise sound judgement and confidentiality in relation to sensitive matters
- Proven ability to review processes and systems and identify efficiency opportunities
- An understanding of EBA’s, Awards, taxation and superannuation.
- Computer literacy with skills in Microsoft Office products
Desirable:
- Certificate III in Human Resources (or another relevant field) and/or relevant experience working in a similar role; or willingness to undertake
- Knowledge and experience in Chris21 & Kronos (highly regarded)
- Knowledge & Experience in Healthcare (highly regarded)
