About the role

 

Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) - Haemodialysis 
Up to 40 hours per fortnight 

 

Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

 

The Haemodialysis Unit is a three bed unit catering to clients who need treatment for end-stage kidney disease. The Unit is a satellite unit for Barwon Health and currently operates 6 days per week, the staff within the unit operate autonomously. 

  

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a valued member of the Nurse Leadership team promoting a values based organisation culture. 

  

The role provides support to the Nurse Unit Manager role and is responsible for promoting a high standard of professional practice, whilst ensuring the provision of effective clinical and organisational services. 

 

  

What’s required? 

 

Essential:

 

  • Current AHPRA Registered Nurse Registration. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing patients undergoing haemodialysis 
  • Sound decision making and problem-solving ability 
  • Well-developed patient assessment skills 

 

 Desirable:

 

  • Recognised renal qualification (minimum grad certificate)- or working towards 
  • Training/Assessing qualification - or working towards 
  • Previous/ recent leadership experience.
