About the role
Administration Assistant - Planned Surgery Unit
Full time/Part time permanent hours available
Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
Colac Area Health currently has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our busy Perioperative Services team.
The Administration Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a high level of administrative service to support the functions of Planned Surgery Preparation List Management and ESIS Reporting.
This position will work closely with the Planned Surgery team to manage patients waiting for planned surgery.
What’s required?
- Previous, recent experience in the Planned Surgery and ESIS reporting roles
- Proven experience and ability to provide an efficient customer service
- Proficient in IT Software including Microsoft office (eg. word, excel, outlook, teams)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and privacy principles
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a diverse team
