SWARH has implemented InterSystems TrakCare as the Electronic Health Record (EHR) application that underpins clinical operations spanning 11 Health Services (17 individual sites) within this region.
About the role
The Functional Team Manager is a key member of the South West Alliance of Rural Health (SWARH) Applications Team supporting the TrakCare EMR implementation for 11 health services in the South West region. TrakCare is utilised across a geographically diverse audience in the region, comprised of over 5000 individuals, inclusive of medical, nursing, allied health, hospital management, C-suite (executive) and administrative staff.
The Functional Team Manager is responsible for managing SWARH knowledge and capability of the TrakCare system and integrations with upstream/downstream systems across the SWARH ecosystem, to effectively deliver and maintain the TrakCare solution for the benefit of all SWARH members and customers.
To achieve this objective, the role will lead a team of Service Delivery Specialists and Functional Analysts responsible for partnering with SWARH member representatives to support, troubleshoot and resolve issues (specifically relating to TrakCare). Further, the role will lead this team to identify, analyse and deliver on new and emerging functionality and upgrade opportunities associated with the TrakCare product, as well as drive continuous improvement initiatives, as aligned to SWARH member requirements. The Functional Team Manager has significant decision-making responsibility related to determining functionality in TrakCare and will be a key contributor and participant in associated governance structures within SWARH and across the region.
To be successful in the role, the Functional Team Manager will utilise their excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in managing and implementing business (organisational) change, and technical change management processes. Effective engagement with clinical, change management, testing, vendor and technical specialists will be essential in delivering end-to-end solutions. A deep understanding of the TrakCare product is essential to success in the role, establishing oneself as a ‘go-to’ person for TrakCare functionality and trusted to provide sound advice and leadership to internal, Health Service and external (including vendor) stakeholders alike.
As with any team management role, the Functional Team Manager will be accountable to the performance of their team, by managing associated HR (i.e. performance management) and recruitment activities in line with Barwon Health policy and practices. The role will have primary accountability of team delivery, managing a succession plan, and identifying strategies to resolve capability gaps as needed (e.g. via staff coaching, mentoring, training opportunities, recruitment and similar).
The role is based in Warrnambool, Victoria, and some intrastate travel may be required.
Please note Barwon Health will only contact you via our official email and never use unconventional means, such as text messaging or other services.
