About the facility 

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

 

About the role

As the Ward Clerk you will be responsible for the delivery of consumer focused administrative support; ensuring equity of access throughout the patient’s journey on the ward and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient and effective clerical support so as to achieve desired outcomes. 

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing prompt, equitable and accurate customer services in a professional, courteous and helpful manner, ensuring consumer focused standards are continuously maintained.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times in conjunction with Barwon Health’s policy and values.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication within a multi-disciplinary team
