About the role

We are seeking a Ward Clerk to join our Children's Ward; we have a permanant part-time position (19 hrs per fortnight).  This role will include shifts rostered Monday to Sunday AM & PM shifts). 

You will be responsible for providing high standard of support and assistance to patients, visitors and caregivers and directing queries accordingly.

You will need excellent verbal and written communication, that include health related skills. You will have a knowledge of medical terminology and excellent attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver professional, courteous customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Accurately manage patient information and data entry, ensuring compliance with reporting and legislative requirements
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support efficient, high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to a safe and compliant workplace by completing mandatory training, supporting data quality and participating in health and safety initiatives

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Previous administration experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work rostered shifts and support operational requirements as needed
