About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

 

About the role

Administration officer: Join a high performing, committed, and flexible administration team supporting Allied Health services

 

As the Administration Officer, you will oversee administrative operations across acute allied health outpatient and inpatient services, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a high-performing administration team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and the public accessing Allied Health services.
  • Oversee administrative support for Allied Health departments, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Psychology, and Podiatry.
  • Manage data entry tasks efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
  • Take accountability for the daily operations of the Allied Health Office, with and without management referral.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

 

Team Leader: Take the lead in driving excellence in administrative support across Allied Health services

 

As the Allied Health Administration Team Leader, you will oversee and coordinate multiple administrative teams across Acute Allied Health Outpatients and Inpatients. You will ensure procedural compliance, high-quality customer service, and operational efficiency across all workgroups.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a high-performing team of administration officers.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring work patterns align with service demands.
  • Maintain procedural compliance and ensure policies are understood and followed.
  • Manage rostering, recruitment, and selection of administration staff.
  • Ensure IPM data collection, integrity, and reporting are maintained.
  • Oversee billing processes and resource allocation to meet service requirements.
  • Provide training and orientation for new and existing staff.
  • Work closely with the Outpatient Coordinator, Senior Staff, and Allied Health Managers on service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
