About the role
Child and Family Health Services Speech Pathology is located at Barwon Health North. The speech pathology service will provide early intervention therapy to children up to school age commencement who reside in the Northern Suburbs of Geelong. This position is responsible for providing continuous Improvement and delivery of High-quality, Speech Pathology care. The successful candidate will be required to work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate closely with other allied health clinicians.
Key responsibilities
- Act in alignment with Barwon Health values, contribute to policy, procedures, and projects, and represent the service in committees and multidisciplinary initiatives.
- Independently manage a clinical caseload, deliver evidence-based care, evaluate outcomes, and maintain accurate documentation while ensuring high-quality consumer-focused services.
- Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, share information, seek and provide feedback, and promote an inclusive, culturally safe workplace.
- Maintain professional registration and CPD requirements, engage in lifelong learning, participate in quality improvement activities, and practice ethically in accordance with professional and legal standards.
What we’re looking for
- Hold current registration with your professional board -AHPRA registered professions (or eligibility for accredited membership) and have independent clinical experience relevant to the role.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and skills in your clinical area, actively engage in professional development, and contribute to the learning of others.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, work collaboratively, and engage in culturally safe practice.
- Are proficient with information systems and committed to Barwon Health values of respect, compassion, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
