About the facility  

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.  

 

About the role  

As the Social Worker you will work across the Barwon Early Parenting Centre (BEPC) inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. You will collaboratively with a range of multidisciplinary health professionals at both the BEPC and community. Social work clinician(s) will support families and children aged 0 – 4 years to achieve strong attachment with their care givers by supporting parenting development.

 

In this role they will have a strong focus on the parent-child relationship well-being, as well as focusing on mental health. They will provide their support and expertise across all aspect of the EPC - the residential, day stay and triage services.

 

All Social Workers / Allied health professionals employed and engaged by Barwon Health are responsible for ensuring they maintain their credentialing requirements (as per their professional association) to practice as a health practitioner during their period of employment/engagement with BH
