About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

 

About the role

This temporary full-time position is based within the Women's and Children's Team at University Hospital Geelong. The Women's and Children's Team is a supportive team of specialist Social Workers.
The successful applicant will be a Women's and Children's Social Worker, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, social workers and other professionals . The successful applicant will have:

  • Sound assessment skills and an understanding of working with vulnerable families.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with family violence, children at risk, mental health and community support services would be an advantage.
  • AASW accredited Bachelor Degree or entry level Master's Degree of Social Work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers required.
