Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

Social Workers at Barwon Health work across a diverse range of the Health areas including Acute, sub-acute and community-based program areas at a number of campuses of Barwon Health. They require clinical knowledge and skills relevant to working as a clinician in a health setting. The social work clinician will have an awareness and understanding of the health service environment. The roles are based in a multidisciplinary/team setting. Some parts of our service work across a 7-day a week roster, while others Monday to Friday. All roles can work across both the University Hospital of Geelong (UHG) Campus & the McKellar Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRC) campus. The work is team based and is dynamic and rewarding.

About the role

Our Social work roles are part of a Social Work team and department, who work closely together and provide daily peer support. The daily clinical work is also team based within a multi-disciplinary setting (i.e. with nurses, Drs and other Allied health).
