    About the role

    Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) provide specialist, recovery-oriented care to individuals experiencing serious mental illness within their local community.

    The Bellarine CMHT delivers comprehensive, multidisciplinary mental health care across the Bellarine Peninsula, supporting consumers in community settings with a strong focus on continuity of care, recovery, and community connection. The team works collaboratively with consumers, families and carers, and key service partners to ensure coordinated, timely and person-centred support.

    As a Senior Clinician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care and leadership within a multidisciplinary team, supporting complex presentations and contributing to safe, effective and responsive service delivery aligned with the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and recovery-oriented interventions for individuals experiencing serious mental illness, including family/carer-inclusive practice
    • Deliver care within a multidisciplinary, community-based model, ensuring interventions are timely, coordinated and aligned to legislative and service requirements
    • Contribute to service delivery functions including intake, clinical management, duty/risk assessment and community liaison, supporting effective access and continuity of care

     

    What We Are Looking For

    • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality mental health assessment and recovery-oriented interventions within a community or acute setting
    • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including managing risk, complex presentations and care coordination
    • Capacity to contribute across core service functions such as intake, duty, and clinical case management
    • Must be able to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and evening shifts (in line with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement)
