About the role

The Senior Change & Training Manager is responsible for designing, leading, and executing enterprise change and training strategies to drive successful adoption of the People Plus Program, encompassing the implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for Barwon Health and four rural health services (Colac Area Health, Hesse Rural Health, Great Ocean Road Health and Timboon & District Healthcare Service).

This critical role will report to the Senior Project Manager, and partner with key stakeholders at the four rural health services, and Project Sponsor to understand the organisation’s people, culture, communication channels, and system experiences  ensuring that changes are effectively embedded and sustained.

The Senior Change & Training Manager will develop and deliver an enterprise change management framework, oversee all change and training activities, and build capability across participating Health Services to support staff through the transition. The role will also work collaboratively with internal communication, key internal People and Culture teams, and project delivery teams to ensure alignment, minimise disruption and enhance user adoption across all impacted areas.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and deliver change strategies, governance, and frameworks to enable successful organisational change and adoption
  • Drive stakeholder engagement by partnering with leaders and stakeholders to build change readiness, manage impacts, and support effective decision-making
  • Lead communications and training to deliver integrated communication and learning initiatives that build capability and drive sustainable behavioural change
  • Build change capability by coaching leaders and teams, embed best-practice change management, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Manage people and performance by leading the Change and Training team, oversee resources and budgets, and monitor outcomes to ensure successful delivery of change initiatives

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Proven leadership in organisational change management, with extensive experience delivering large-scale business, systems, and technology transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement and communication, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships across all organisational levels
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications, with experience implementing HRIS (e.g. SuccessFactors) or similar enterprise systems; project and change management qualifications are highly regarded
