About the role 

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Administrative Assistant to provide executive and medical workforce administrative support within Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS).

This varied role provides essential support to the MHDAS Executive and assists with the coordination of the medical workforce, including Psychiatry Registrars and Consultant Psychiatrists working across community, acute, specialist and inpatient services. The position plays a key role in supporting workforce operations, rostering coordination, governance processes and the smooth day-to-day functioning of administrative services across the Directorate.

Working within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will contribute to the efficient operation of MHDAS through high-level administrative support, coordination and strong stakeholder engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential and efficient administrative support to the MHDAS Executive team
  • Support coordination of the medical workforce, including Registrars and Consultants, rostering coordination and administrative processes
  • Provide Secretariat support for leadership meetings and committees, including preparation of agendas, correspondence and briefing documents
  • Manage diaries, scheduling and record management to support operational efficiency
  • Maintain and improve administrative systems, workflows and governance processes
  • Utilise advanced Microsoft Office skills and technical systems to support reporting and administration functions

 

 

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and professional administrative assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting both Executive leaders and medical workforce operations. You will bring excellent organisational and communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.

Experience working within healthcare or complex administrative environments, along with strong Microsoft Office skills, will be highly regarded.
