Fixed term 12 months full-time opportunity for a Medical Physicist, SABR Program, from May 2026
About the role
Lead the expansion and optimisation of advanced stereotactic radiotherapy services (SABR/SBRT and SRS/SRT) in a 1-year fixed-term role, leveraging cutting-edge Varian TrueBeam technology to develop, standardise, and scale workflows and quality assurance programs in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical team
Key Responsibilities
- Support the clinical expansion and delivery of stereotactic radiotherapy programs (SABR/SBRT and SRS/SRT)
- Develop and optimise treatment workflows, planning strategies, and dosimetric support for complex cases
- Contribute to commissioning, validation, and end-to-end testing of advanced stereotactic technologies and systems
- Establish and maintain robust quality assurance programs, including patient-specific and machine QA
- Deliver training, education, and mentorship to multidisciplinary staff on stereotactic techniques and best practices
- Drive protocol development, service standardisation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives (including data/registry development)
What we’re looking for
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Physics with ACPSEM ROMP certification/registration
- Proven experience leading SABR/SBRT and SRS/SRT programs
- Strong expertise in Varian linacs, small field dosimetry, and VMAT-based planning/delivery
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement stereotactic workflows and clinical protocols
