About the role
The People Plus Rostering Systems Analyst position is primarily responsible for offering systems services tailored to the workforce needs of Barwon Health.
This role encompasses the maintenance, configuration, and technical support of the Optima information system, emphasising:
- Configuring the Optima system to ensure its operation is both effective and efficient. This involves promptly addressing and resolving any system issues that arise, in addition to enhancing the system’s overall functionality.
- Proactively identifying and delivering improvements/enhancements to existing systems
- Delivering expert technical advice and support through ongoing support to end users.
The People Plus Rostering Systems Analyst role also involves conducting thorough analysis and implementing ongoing enhancement to rostering and payroll processes. Moreover, the role demands a strategic approach to configuration, planning, and collaboration with service partners. This is critical for the tailored design and execution of Optima solutions that meet the evolving needs of Barwon Health.
Key responsibilities
- Configure, maintain and optimise the Optima system to ensure it meets business requirements and delivers reliable, high-performing system functionality.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshoot complex system issues, working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve problems and implement system improvements.
- Maintain system security, governance and documentation, ensuring compliance with organisational standards, technical governance frameworks and data security requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence by monitoring system performance, maintaining accurate configuration records, and adhering to Barwon Health policies, procedures and mandatory training requirements.
What we’re looking for
- Substantial experience as a Systems Analyst
- Optima System experience, minimum 2 years
- Strong understanding of rostering applications and Payroll
- Excellent technical understanding
- Ability to navigate complex organisational structures and mange competing priorities
- Knowledge of hospital rostering practices and best practices
