About the Role
As the Research Nurse, Andrew Love Cancer Centre (ALCC) you will support current and upcoming trials by working with colleagues and in collaboration with a dynamic multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality of data collected and successful trial management. As the Research Nurse you will be responsible for the coordination and management of a dedicated portfolio of clinical trials involving liaison, patient education and coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage oncology and haematology clinical trials, including participant recruitment, screening, enrolment and follow-up
- Deliver high-quality participant care, education and support throughout the clinical trial journey
- Maintain accurate trial documentation, data collection and reporting in line with protocol, regulatory and ethical requirements
- Liaise with investigators, sponsors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth trial delivery and compliance
- Support quality improvement, audits and continuous development within the Cancer Services Trials Unit
What we’re looking for
- Relevant qualification in Nursing, Science, Health Science or a related research/health discipline
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with clinical trials, oncology or haematology research is highly desirable
- Knowledge of ICH-GCP, NHMRC guidelines and clinical research processes, with strong IT and data management skills
