About the role
To support delivery and growth of research at Barwon Health by:
- promoting Barwon Health research activity and outcomes to relevant stakeholders including Barwon Health staff, current and potential future research participants, industry collaborators, prospective students and the broader community
- promoting the supports available to Barwon Health staff to help them conduct research
- working with research groups to populate and maintain the Barwon Health research website
- raising awareness and appreciation of Barwon Health as a research-active organisation among current and potential collaborators including research institutions, industry, clinician researchers, funding bodies and corporate organisations.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage research communications, including newsletters, website content, and promotional activities for Grand Rounds and community events.
- Support research governance and engagement by attending committees, assisting with events, and managing symposiums and awards.
- Prepare and maintain research reports, annual reports, and other materials to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information.
What we’re looking for
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Communications experience in either marketing, journalism or web content creation roles
