About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic General Surgical Short Stay Ward team. This fast-paced unit provides high-quality care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, patient-centred care while ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients
- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, vital signs, and wound healing
- Administer medications and manage pain control effectively
- Educate patients and families regarding post-surgical care and discharge plans
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policy
- Ensure infection prevention and control standards are upheld
What we're looking for
- Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA registration
- Previous experience in a surgical or acute care ward preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and nights
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care
