About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy Surgical Specialist Clinics. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a team of highly skilled surgeons and healthcare professionals, providing exceptional patient care in a modern outpatient setting.
As a key member of our clinical team, you will support patients throughout their surgical journey—from initial consultations and pre-operative assessments through to post-operative follow-up and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within specialist surgical clinics.
- Assist surgeons during outpatient consultations and minor procedures.
- Conduct patient assessments, observations, and clinical documentation.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative education and support to patients and their families.
- Coordinate patient care, referrals, investigations, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and clinical equipment.
- Ensure infection prevention and control standards are maintained.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, administrative staff, allied health professionals, and external healthcare providers.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain compliance with relevant policies and accreditation standards.
What we're looking for
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated clinical experience, preferably in surgical, perioperative, outpatient, or specialist consulting environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
