About the role
To provide holistic palliative care nursing to people who have complex care needs experiencing a life limiting illness where the primary treatment goal is quality of life. You understand the importance of establishing a therapeutic relationship between yourself and the patient to enable best possible outcomes. You will work collaboratively with the patient, consumers and other health care professionals, working to establish and evaluate plans of care.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred nursing care in accordance with professional standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and achieve positive health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with safety, quality, and organisational policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through professional development, mandatory training, and quality initiatives.
What we’re looking for
- Currently Registered as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Ability to work unsupervised as a Registered Nurse in a clinical environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and manage expectations effectively
- Ability to work in a multi- functional collaborative team
- Sound assessment, problem solving and organisational skills
- A demonstrated high level of motivation and willingness to learn
