About the role
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and motivated Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to join our dedicated critical care team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, high-performing environment delivering advanced, patient-centred care to critically ill patients.
You will be working collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to comprehensive care planning, respond effectively to clinical deterioration and support patients and their loved ones during highly acute and often challenging circumstances.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver advanced, patient-centred care that meets best practice standards to critically ill and ventilated patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and continuous haemodynamic monitoring
- Recognise and respond rapidly to clinical deterioration and emergency situations
- Safely administer complex medications and therapies
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care
- Provide clear communication and support to patients and families and within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive quality and ongoing care
- Contribute to quality improvement, education and evidence-based practice
What we’re looking for
- Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care essential
- Demonstrated experience in ICU or Critical Care environments
- Strong clinical judgement, resilience and teamwork skills
