About the Role
We’re looking for skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced, high-acuity team. If you thrive under pressure, think on your feet, and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care when it matters most, this role is for you.
In this role as the Registered Nurse (Grade 2) you will be responsible for the provision of patient focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you, to achieve desired clinical outcomes. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills as well as sound communication skills both verbal and written. You will have emergency nursing experience and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment and emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Manage acute and life-threatening conditions in a dynamic environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, paramedics, and allied health staff
- Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards
- Support patients and families with empathy, clarity, and professionalism
- Contribute to quality improvement, education, and professional development activities
About You
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Emergency Nursing
- Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care is desirable
- Emergency adult nursing experience and/or Paediatric Emergency Nursing Experience
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
