Emergency Department
With around 80,000 presentations each year, the Barwon Health Emergency Department at University Hospital Geelong plays a vital role in providing timely and effective care to people in need.
To ensure that patients receive appropriate care, the department has established short stay units for both adult and paediatric patients. This approach allows the department to deliver the right care at the right time, improving patient outcomes and overall quality of care
About the role
In this role as the Registered Nurse (Grade 2) you will be responsible for the provision of patient focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you, to achieve desired clinical outcomes. Your role will be within this dynamic and challenging unit where teamwork is paramount and primary nursing is encouraged. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills as well as sound communication skills both verbal and written. You will have emergency nursing experience and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. Critical Care Qualification is essential. This role requires you to be available to work all shifts on a monthly self-roster including morning, afternoon, night shift and weekends.
