- Provide safe, quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, preparation and post-procedure recovery
- Respond effectively to emergency and acute clinical situations within the Cath Lab environment
- Circulate and/or scrub for cardiac catheterisation procedures
- Work collaboratively with cardiologists, cardiac technologists, radiographers and nursing colleagues to deliver safe, patient-centred care
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection prevention and clinical documentation
- Participate in the on-call service (where applicable and depending on experience and clinical competence)
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and recent experience in an acute cardiac, critical care, emergency or Cath Lab setting
- Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring and clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills, with a strong commitment to patient-centred care
- Previous Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory experience is desirable, as is a postgraduate qualification in a critical care area
- Experience with coronary angiography, PCI, device implantation, electrophysiology procedures or participation in an on-call roster will be highly regarded
