About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

 

About the role

Home Based Cancer Care is an alternative to having treatment in the hospital. Home Based Cancer Care nurses provide a variety of cancer treatments in the comfort of the patients home. The service runs Monday to Friday 0830hrs-1700hrs.  

  • We are looking for dynamic nurses, highly skilled and experienced in delivery of cancer care treatment

As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of patient focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes.

Duties of your role include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering consumer centred care that meets best practice standards and in line with Barwon Health requirements
  • Providing quality patient care using an evidence-based approach
  • Participation in regular audit processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory bodies is maintained
  • As part of your role you will co-ordinate treatments appointments and visit patients in their home.
