About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
Operating Services at University Geelong Main theatre offers a round-the-clock service with ten operating theatres. Beyond elective surgeries, the department handles semi-urgent and emergency procedures. Specialities encompass Cardiothoracic, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Oral Faciomaxillary, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular and Robotic Surgery.
About the Role:
The Registered Anaesthetics and PACU Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient focus nursing care to those assigned to him/her, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes. You will work with and provide support to innovative teams who strive to maintain knowledge and excellence. Our dedicated teams pride themselves on providing high quality patient centered care in an environment that has modern, well-equipped facilities. Successful applicants for this role will.
- Have excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and excellent clinical skills
- Provide evidence based, high-quality patient care
- Deliver consumer-centred care that meets best practice standards and in line with Barwon Health requirements
- Previous Anaesthetic and PACU experience is highly desirable
